Job Title: Mobile Device Tester with Android Testing Experience

At Salt Search, we are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Device Tester with Android Testing Experience to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mobile Harness Host Management: Set up and configure MH hosts for mobile testing, maintain and troubleshoot MH host environments to ensure optimal performance, and monitor reliability and resolve any issues related to MH hosts.
  • Device Management: Manage a pool of Android devices for testing purposes, set up and configure devices with necessary software and required configurations, and maintain an inventory of devices and track their health and performance.
  • Android Testing: Execute test cases on Android devices, either manually or through automation tools, report, track, and manage defects and issues found during testing, and collaborate with development teams to address and resolve identified defects.
  • Lab Maintenance: Maintain an organized and efficient lab environment, ensure the proper upkeep and functioning of lab equipment, and troubleshoot technical issues related to the lab infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Android operating systems and mobile device hardware.
  • Experience with mobile testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
  • Understanding of network configurations and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Mobile Harness (MH) or similar mobile testing platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Experience working in cloud-based testing environments.
