About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague to join our team as a Specialty Doctor in Diabetes & Endocrinology. This is a temporary 6-month post commencing in September 2024 to support the consultant-led Diabetes & Endocrinology service at Lincoln Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work a standard 40-hour week, comprising specialty ward work and clinical activity.
  • Participate in the teaching of Resident Doctors and Medical Students from the Universities of Lincoln and Nottingham.
  • Provide senior clinical support to the resident doctors and team secretaries in answering clinical queries.
  • Perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate consultant.

Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC is essential.
  • Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent is essential.
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent is required.
  • Medical degree (MBBS, MChB or equivalent) is required.
