Aegon Asset Management is a leading global investor, seeking a skilled Vendor Procurement Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the Market Data Management team, you will be responsible for the procurement of information services and market data from 3rd party vendors, managing supplier relationships, and developing sourcing strategies.

About the Position

">

This is a challenging role where you will look after the financial management of the overall Information Services budget, including procuring and renewing Market Data services, developing sourcing strategies, driving cost savings, and ensuring data/service usage and pricing is accurately recorded.

Key Accountabilities

">
  • Procure and manage Market Data services from 3rd party vendors, ensuring quality and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies and category plans to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage relationships with market data providers, conduct regular vendor service reviews, and ensure commercial terms are accurately recorded on the Contract Management System.
  • Act as the primary contact across the AAM business for services provided by the vendors within their remit.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar procurement role, with strong negotiation, vendor management, and budget management skills.
  • Understanding of financial instruments and international exchanges, with positive communication and facilitation skills.
  • Index data knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

  • A competitive salary, estimated at £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • A non-contributory pension between 9%-13%.
