We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Team Educate Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support for students with various Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and physical disabilities.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, your role will be crucial in ensuring students with SEND can access learning and fully participate in school life. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with SEND
  • Assisting in the delivery of personalized learning plans to meet each child's needs
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in students to achieve their learning goals
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to monitor progress and adapt support strategies
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive environment where all students feel valued

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Patience to support students through challenges
  • Adaptability to meet diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Initiative to proactively problem-solve and offer support

Preferable Experience:

Previous experience in a SEND environment or working with children with SEND is desired, as well as familiarity with individual learning plans (ILPs) and strategies for supporting children with Autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
