Senior Contracts and Procurement Lawyer

Sellick Partnership Limited - Public Sector is seeking a highly skilled Contract and Procurement Expert to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working within the Public Sector, ideally within a Local Authority.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Construction, including experience with JCT and NEC Contracts. They will also have excellent IT skills and experience with JCT construction software.
The role will involve providing legal advice and assistance on Contracts, Procurement, Corporate and Commercial Law, Data Protection, and Competition Law. The ideal candidate will also have experience in advising on the implementation and application of GDPR in respect of Contracts.
The successful Contract and Procurement Expert will be responsible for acting on behalf of the Council in respect of the procurement of various contracts, including contracts for Works and Services, Concession Contracts, Waste Contracts, Building and Construction Contracts, and Back to Back Agreements.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of public procurement and will be able to advise on the interpretation of Contracts and other legal documentation. They will also be responsible for carrying out complex drafting and the execution and completion of contracts.
The role offers a competitive hourly rate and flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will have autonomy over their own caseload and will be joining a really friendly and supportive team.
The successful candidate will be required to attend the offices in London one or two days per week.
