Product Technologist Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Product Technologist to join our dynamic and fast-growing company, I Love My Job Ltd, with a strong global presence in the fragrance, homewares, and gifting sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements across key markets, including the UK, EU, US, and emerging markets.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of all technical data, audits, and certifications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring the company's compliance with global market requirements.
- Organise and manage all technical data, ensuring that tests and documentation are complete and compliant before product shipment.
- Review and approve all artwork to ensure it includes compliant safety text for the target markets.
- Oversee the compliance aspect of the project timeline, ensuring products are delivered on time and meet the required technical specifications.
- Identify and resolve compliance-related issues swiftly, ensuring key stakeholders are informed of any potential risks.
- Work closely with colleagues across departments, including working with safety assessors to obtain timely and detailed information, and ensuring that all teams are aligned and informed about compliance status.
- Take a proactive approach in developing and implementing compliance processes, with the autonomy to shape the compliance function as the company continues to grow.
- Good regulatory compliance experience, ideally within the cosmetics, fragrance, homewares, or gifting industries.
- Familiarity with MSDS/SDS processes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of regulatory systems and notification portals for the UK, EU, and US markets.
- Strong Excel skills, with experience managing compliance databases and tracking metrics.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing data and documentation.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.
- A self-starter who can work independently, take initiative, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the compliance function.
- UK driving licence + access to a vehicle due to office location.
- A team player with a collaborative approach, ready to support, mentor, and develop junior team members as the compliance department grows.
