About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Support Specialist to join our team at GSL Education. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in promoting health, fitness, and well-being among students in English schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging and dynamic PE lessons and activities that foster a positive attitude towards health and fitness.
  • Encourage and motivate students to participate in physical activities and sports, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for physical activity.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional help, tailoring your approach to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Help prepare and maintain sports equipment and materials for lessons and activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Support teachers in monitoring and assessing students' progress, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to participate, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
Requirements
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related field, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  • A genuine passion for promoting health and fitness among young people, with a proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents, with patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable, but not essential.
