Join Our Team as a Non-Executive Director for Parliament's Information and Digital Board

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Information and Digital Board as a Non-Executive Director. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the Information and Digital Strategy for Parliament and ensuring its successful delivery.

About the Role

The Information and Digital Board is responsible for providing strategic leadership for information, data, and digital matters in Parliament. As a Non-Executive Director, you will work closely with the Chief Information Officer and the Senior Information Risk Owner to provide advice and guidance on digital, data, and information matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for information, data, and digital matters in Parliament
  • Work closely with the Chief Information Officer and the Senior Information Risk Owner to provide advice and guidance
  • Contribute to the development of the Information and Digital Strategy for Parliament
  • Ensure the successful delivery of the Information and Digital Strategy
  • Provide oversight of the digital investment portfolio and other digital investments within Parliament
  • Ensure that Parliament's digital services are secure and resilient in the face of evolving threats
Requirements
  • Board or Board-level experience within an organisation of comparable scale and complexity
  • Previous experience as a non-executive director, external member, trustee, or equivalent
  • Relevant experience working in the field of digital, data, and/or information within an organisation that is a high-profile cyber security target
  • Demonstrable knowledge of digital, information, and/or data, including current external challenges
  • Understanding of the interdependencies between information, digital, and data
  • Demonstrable experience of digital, information, and/or data matters within an organisation that is an at-scale content creator and publisher
  • The highest levels of personal integrity, fairness, and impartiality, and a commitment to public service values such as inclusion and diversity
