Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to lead our design team at 3fD. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset paired with a flair for creative thinking.

The successful candidate will oversee the design team, ensuring timely delivery of work across multiple projects. They will also ensure consistency and excellence across all design work, while fostering creativity and innovation within the team.

The Design Manager will interface with clients to ensure 3fD understands their vision, needs, and product goals, working with the Account Manager to translate these into plans. They will also work with our Project Manager on multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget alignment.

The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process according to our 3fD Milestone System. They will also be responsible for managing and delivering multiple projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Product Design Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. They will also have 10+ years of experience in product design, with preferably at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

The Design Manager will be responsible for managing a team of mechanical and electronic designers, and product designers/engineers. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the design team has the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality designs.
