About This Role

Mondelēz International is seeking a skilled Data Engineering Specialist to join our R&D team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our existing R&D data infrastructure, while exploring and implementing new technologies to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with R&D's Lead Data Engineer and cross-functional stakeholders to understand data needs and design robust data engineering solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and reusable data models.
  • Provide guidance and support to R&D on best practices for data engineering and data management.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and share insights with relevant stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to overall organisational efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with IT to assess and optimise the performance of R&D's data pipelines, ensure data engineering solutions adhere to organisational architecture and strategies, and identify data assets/systems to create MVPs presenting business value for commercialization.

Requirements

  • At least six years of experience in data engineering, preferably within a similar function or industry.
  • Experience with data engineering tools and platforms such as Spark, Databricks, and cloud-platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with data modelling tools, preferably Erwin.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage timelines effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
