Job Summary:


Rope Access Radiographic Technician is a critical role at Oceaneering, requiring a unique blend of technical expertise and rope access skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using radiographic techniques, while working at heights and in challenging offshore environments.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct radiographic NDT inspections on components, pipework, and structural assemblies to ensure acceptability to specification.
  • Work safely at heights using rope access techniques, adhering to Oceaneering's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during inspections.
  • Perform risk assessments and take necessary precautions to mitigate hazards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inspection results, including any limitations or test restrictions.
  • Analyze data and make informed decisions based on inspection findings.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to maintain and enhance technical expertise.
  • Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:



  • PCN Radiography Level 2 certification.
  • Rope access training and certification.
  • Offshore survival training.
  • MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) certification.
  • Valid full UK driving license and passport.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in challenging offshore conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • GCSE/Standard Grade pass in English, Maths, and Science.
  • Flexible approach, team player, and good communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Eye test.
  • Ultrasonic Level 2 certification.
  • PCN Level 2 Liquid Penetrant certification.
  • PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle certification.
  • RPS (Radiographic Personnel Supervisor) certification.

Working Conditions:


This role involves working primarily outdoors, in varying weather conditions, and at heights using rope access techniques. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to changing environments and maintain a high level of safety awareness.
