Empoweredengineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the design, development, and delivery of electrical distribution projects. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of these projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Coordination: Proactively manage and coordinate non-contestable project delivery, including design, procurement, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and close-out activities.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison with clients, understanding their requirements, and actively steering, influencing, and managing their allocated projects.
- Project Documentation: Ensure works comply with contract specifications and record and collate project documentation.
- Project Controls: Assist and advise the project management team in reviewing and reporting costs, assisting in delivery through the planning, land rights, and consents phases, and managing all project controls.
- Construction Management: Support or manage construction/delivery activity using both direct and contract delivery teams.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with the scheme, providing monthly updates to the Risk Manager.
- Milestone Coordination: Coordinate key milestone inputs from clients and contractors, including design review, request for information, early warnings, site witnessing, connection, and commissioning activities.
- Project Delivery: Responsible for the successful project delivery in a timely manner.
- Process Management: Management of end-to-end process, with assistance from the wider project team.
- Problem-Solving: Open-minded and willing to work to solve the complexities and nuances of each project.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they are within authorized budgets.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and manage projects from feasibility and design to energization.
- Qualifications: Ideally possess an Electrical Engineering degree or similar qualification supplemented by industry experience.
- Experience: Be able to evidence experience of end-to-end HV project delivery.
