About the Role:

The Sustainability and Social Value Manager will play a vital role in ensuring Language Empire operates responsibly and ethically, while making a positive impact on society. Key responsibilities include overseeing environmental impact, developing partnerships with local communities, and promoting inclusivity and diversity.

The Job Overview
  • Manage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage sustainability and social value initiatives across the organisation.
  • Support internal and external communication of sustainability and social value to improve awareness, engagement, and participation.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with our organisational values and goals.
  • Develop and contribute to our existing Social Value policy and procedures.
  • Work alongside department managers to promote initiatives that support employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Improve CSR offerings and raise our profile in the community.
  • Prepare and publish reports on our progress and communicate to relevant leaders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Measure and report the impact of community and social impact activity.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Passionate about sustainability and social value, with a strong background in corporate sustainability.
  • Proven experience in social impact and sustainability management, preferably within the healthcare sector or related fields.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data effectively.
  • Self-motivated, working under own initiative and delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of public procurement and competitive bidding requirements.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the office.
