Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and caring Transport Assistant to join our team at April Faith Recruitment Ltd. As a Transport Assistant - Special Needs, you will be responsible for supervising children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities on board home-to-school transport in the Liverpool City region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities on board home-to-school transport
  • Assist passengers into and out of the vehicle at home and at destination, ensuring they are seated comfortably and securely before setting off
  • Conduct a vehicle check at the end of each journey to ensure that all pupils have left the vehicle and no belongings have been left on board
  • Provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free journey to the destination and have a positive impact on the wellbeing of passengers

Requirements:

  • Significant life experience with a caring and sensitive manner
  • Available to work flexible hours
  • Enjoy a challenging but rewarding work environment
  • A positive attitude to work
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management

Working Hours: 2 shifts per day, 7/8 am and 2.30 pm, approximately 15 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £12 per hour
