About the Role


Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Social Work Specialist to join our Integrated Locality Services team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality support to vulnerable children and their families.

Your Key Responsibilities


As a Social Work Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of children, visiting families, and completing direct work with children to understand their views and lived experiences. You will also chair multi-agency meetings and liaise with other professionals to support our most vulnerable children.



Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least one year's post-qualifying experience as a social worker and a good understanding of how to apply different social work theories and models. You should also possess excellent verbal communication skills to enable effective communication with children, parents, and other agencies.
