About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Kidderminster, UK. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Supervise and motivate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional service and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and plating to meet the highest standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene, and health and safety protocols.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on presentation and flavor.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher) is highly desirable.
