Job Summary:

The Company, a leading provider of innovative solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Executive to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide expert advice on health and safety-related issues and act as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters.
  • Monitor industry trends and legislative changes, advising management on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and monitor health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety awareness and procedures.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of health and safety practices through ongoing education and communications.
  • Mentor and support staff in implementing health and safety initiatives and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate health and safety considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.

Requirements:

  • IOSH Certificate or Diploma
  • Proven track record in the use of quality tools, such as 8D, FEMEA, Ishikawa, Root cause, Kaizen/Six Sigma, and 5Y associated quality tools
  • Knowledgeable understanding of ISO 9001 and adherence to additional standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to produce high-quality written reports and presentations
