We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Lantmännen Unibake in Milton Keynes. As a Shift Engineer with an electrical bias, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and achieving stakeholder satisfaction, quality standards, and high levels of operational performance on all site machinery and plant.

You will be responsible for fault diagnosis and repair of a wide variety of electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, and refrigeration units. You will also collaborate with the production/technical teams to resolve engineering issues in a controlled/logical and professional manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fault diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Collaboration with production/technical teams to resolve engineering issues
  • Methodical diagnosis of machine and system faults on production equipment

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical engineering maintenance, preferably in an FMCG or high-speed/volume production environment
  • Proven experience of mechanical, electrical, PLCs, and control systems
  • Formal training in CI/LEAN techniques would be advantageous

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess:

  • Reliability with a flexible 'can-do' attitude
  • Accuracy with a good attention to detail
  • A team player with a willingness to assist colleagues
  • Able to work to deadlines and follow instruction
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and determined to adapt to new engineering equipment and challenges

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and excellent problem-solving skills. You will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience. This is a full-time position based in Milton Keynes, working 40 hours per week. The salary range reflects the company's commitment to rewarding talented individuals with competitive compensation packages.
