About the Role

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be part of our dynamic engineering team, working on the mission to create the most powerful vehicle transaction platform on the planet. Our team is experiencing significant growth, and we are looking for an experienced Backend Software Development Lead to join our journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient backend systems using TypeScript and microservices architecture.
  • Lead feature development, working closely with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Collaborate with our automation team to implement features that streamline the experience for our users.
  • Contribute to the development of our serverless-first event-driven architecture, utilizing AWS and other cloud services.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring high coding standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Significant commercial experience with JavaScript, with a strong focus on TypeScript and relational databases.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure), and containerization.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering patterns and practices, including testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
  • Able to autonomously prioritize work, proactively communicate progress, and unblock yourself and others.
