Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Epcrecruit. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for leading the design phase of our products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design phase of product development, ensuring all aspects are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring tight customer-driven timescales are met.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure Engineering-related items are properly covered and Stage Gates are completed as required.
- Compile costings from customer concepts using standard Microsoft Excel-based cost models, providing quick responses to the Product Management Team.
- Track project costs, updating as required during the development of a design for the life of the project.
Requirements
- Essential experience in SolidWorks, with the ability to carry out concept design, detail design, detail drawings, design reviews, FMEA's, and other steps to ensure a design project can be introduced into production.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Corel Draw is an advantage.
- Ideal candidate will have a suitable qualification in mechanical engineering (BSc/BEng or equivalent).
