About the Role:

Jameson Legal is seeking a highly skilled Professional Support Lawyer to join our Finance, Corporate & Regulatory team on a part-time basis. As a Professional Support Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical legal support to our fee-earners, contributing to the development of standard forms and precedents, and staying up-to-date with the latest legal and regulatory developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and technical legal support to fee-earners across the practice group, including reviewing and updating standard forms and precedents.
  • Contribute to the development of know-how collateral, including building and maintaining a comprehensive library of legal knowledge.
  • Horizon scan to keep the firm and team up-to-date with the latest legal and regulatory developments, and provide regular updates to the team.
  • Develop and deliver topical technical training and seminars to the internal team and external clients, including webinars and workshops.
  • Explore and utilize automation and technology uses for the knowledge management / professional support team, including implementing new tools and processes.
  • Ad hoc In-House legal matters, including reviewing supplier agreements and acting as a point of contact for general queries from the team.

Requirements:

We are looking for a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years' post-qualified experience in corporate, banking and finance, funds and regulatory work. Prior experience working as a Professional Support Lawyer would be desirable, but not essential. Exposure to working in an offshore firm would also be of interest, but not a prerequisite.

What We Offer:

Jameson Legal offers a unique part-time opportunity (21 hours per week) to work closely with our Finance, Corporate & Regulatory team and report into the Knowledge Management Director. The role can be aligned to any of our offices or undertaken on a remote basis.
