An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Theatre Nurse to join our team at a leading specialist eye healthcare service in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
This is a modern, state-of-the-art eye hospital with first-class facilities and the latest technology.
**Must be qualified as an RGN Nurse with an active NMC Pin - Will also accept ODP's with HCPC registrations**
As a Theatre Nurse, your key duties will include:
- Providing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assisting the surgical team in preparing the operating room and equipment
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Administering medications as directed by the surgeon or anaesthesiologist
- Maintaining accurate documentation of patient information and surgical procedures
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
The following skills and experience would be beneficial for the role:
- 12 months post-registration experience
- Passionate about developing a career in Ophthalmology
- Ability to absorb and convey highly technical information
- Adaptable with a flexible approach to work
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity, and discretion
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £32,519 - £39,203 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week on Day Shifts from 7.30am-5.30pm. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
