Job Title: Youth Development Specialist
Salary: Up to £28,288 per annum
About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team in providing essential support to young people aged 16 to 18 in supported accommodation. As a Youth Development Specialist, you will play a key role in creating a positive and safe living environment that fosters growth and development.
Salary and Benefits:We offer a competitive salary of up to £28,288 per annum, including 2 sleep ins per week. The role involves working shifts from 8 AM to 10 PM plus sleep ins. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including the Real Living Wage, Christmas bonus, and Blue Light Card.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide daily support and guidance to young residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Engage in effective communication to build trust and rapport with residents, enabling them to express their needs and aspirations.
- Handle challenging situations with patience and resilience, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals in your care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records, documenting interactions and progress to support safeguarding and effective service delivery.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically, fostering an open dialogue with young people.
- Commitment and Reliability: A dedicated approach to your role, ensuring consistent support and presence for the residents.
