An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Band 6 Health Visitor to deliver the Healthy Child Programme to eligible children and families in the community. You will be working for a leading healthcare provider in the UK.

This community interest company provides a wide range of services, including community nursing, health visiting, and therapy services for children, young people, and adults. As a Band 6 Health Visitor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out ongoing health needs assessments for all children and families within the community
  • Overseeing the delivery of Universal service key touch points by skill mix team members, ensuring they are within required timescales and meeting KPI targets
  • Providing health visiting support and advice within the clinic setting, according to the service model and guidelines
  • Liaising effectively with colleagues and partner organisations to ensure timely, well-coordinated, and effective care for children and families
  • Planning your workload effectively to meet client needs, clinical activity targets, and KPIs

The following skills and experience would be beneficial for the role:

  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of working across organisational boundaries within health and social care
  • Team working and autonomous working
  • Knowledge of the public health role of contemporary health visiting
  • Current knowledge and understanding of reports and legislation affecting community nursing, including current PHE directives
  • Computer literacy
