At Taylor Root, we are seeking a skilled In-House Contract Lawyer to play a key role in delivering procurement services across the firm. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in commercial contracts.

The ideal candidate will oversee the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the Procurement team and business stakeholders to guide these contracts from initiation to completion.

This role involves regular interaction with the Office of the General Counsel, Information Security team, business stakeholders, and senior management. As an In-House Contract Lawyer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with the Office of the General Counsel and Information Security teams to conduct due diligence and mitigate risks in supplier relationships.
  • Providing clear and actionable advice on commercial and legal aspects of contracts to senior-level stakeholders while identifying and addressing risks.
  • Supporting ongoing enhancements to the Procurement team's service delivery, innovation initiatives, and compliance efforts.
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and updating supplier agreements accordingly.
  • Training the Procurement team on relevant legislative updates.
  • Developing and maintaining contract templates and ensuring accurate record-keeping in the firm's contract database.
