Job Title: Buyer - FMCG

Quest Search and Selection Ltd is partnering with a leading specialist food brand in the UK and Europe to find a skilled Buyer - FMCG. This role will involve managing a portfolio of finished product categories and driving growth and profitability.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute buying strategies for product portfolios.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure suppliers can support business growth.
  • Negotiate prices and productivity plans.
  • Ensure compliance with new suppliers, including necessary reports and documentation.
  • Handle exclusivity agreements, tenders, and contracts.
  • Maintain timely communication with stakeholders to ensure clarity in decision-making.
  • Stay informed on category trends, market dynamics, product innovations, and competitor activities.
  • Manage pricing and promotions, including sheets, GPCs, and supplier master data.
Requirements:
  • 2-3+ years of experience in retail food or FMCG.
  • Operated at a Buyer, Category Buyer/Manager, Junior Buyer, or Trading Manager level.
  • Exceptional negotiation and supplier experience.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining positive supplier relationships.
  • Proficient in using SAP or Excel.
  • Flexible for business travel, approximately 1 every 6 weeks for EU travel.
