Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher to join our team at Ellen Tinkham School, a special school providing education to pupils with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a stimulating and person-centred learning environment, inspiring our young people, and working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance our provision and lead on best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver personalized, purposeful, and reflective learning programmes that meet the individual needs and targets of students with EHCP outcomes.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of learning programmes, promoting the progress and wellbeing of students, and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
  • Lead a team of Teaching Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement best practice, contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Keep the school ethos at the centre of all activities, inspiring our young people and promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Requirements
  • QTS and a passion for providing high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEND.
  • Ability to plan and deliver learning programmes that meet the individual needs and targets of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Ability to fulfill all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
