Job Title: Senior Software Development Engineer in Test LeaderEstimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test Leader to join our innovative team. As a leader in test automation, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive testing strategy with a strong focus on automation for systems in the designated area of responsibility.
You will aim for fully automated releases as the ultimate goal, building and maintaining a diverse testing environment that encompasses functional, integration, performance, contract, and security testing across various platforms.
You will oversee daily operations, performance reviews, and continuous improvement of the quality team, coordinating the resolution of bugs reported by clients and internal teams, and consistently refining testing practices.
As a prototyping expert, you will develop new tools, libraries, and approaches, sharing knowledge with the team while applying engineering best practices in testing code and processes.
You will actively contribute to the development of test infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and automated tests, recruiting, onboarding, and managing a team of senior individual contributors.
QualificationsWe are looking for a strong technical expert with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in test automation, preferably with Java, TypeScript, or Kotlin.
Fluency in English and Russian at least at level C1 is required. Additionally, we require at least 2 years of experience in a QA / SDET Lead role with 3 or more direct reports.
You must have essential ability to write clean and maintainable code, excellent knowledge of testing methodologies, strategies, and processes, solid understanding and hands-on expertise in performance testing, thorough understanding of good engineering practices, and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
A self-starter with a "can-do" attitude and great attention to detail is also a must.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with microservices, their orchestration, and message streaming (Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, NATS) is a plus, as well as experience in developing tests for gRPC API and hands-on experience with Go.
Load testing tools like Gatling or K6 would be beneficial.
