About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Strategic Trade Negotiations Lead. This exciting opportunity will see you take on a leadership role in developing and implementing trade negotiation strategies across multiple policy themes. You will work closely with our Trans-Pacific Negotiations and Policy Directorate to deliver key objectives and drive forward the UK's trade agenda.

Job Description

This challenging and rewarding role requires someone with exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and experience working on trade policy or international negotiations. You will lead delivery of negotiation strategies across complex policy areas, work collaboratively with teams across HMG, and build relationships with international partners to promote UK interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Trade Negotiation Strategies: Work closely with the Deputy Chief Negotiator to develop and implement trade negotiation strategies across multiple policy themes, ensuring alignment with wider DBT priorities.
  • Build Relationships with International Partners: Build strong relationships with South Korean counterparts and other international partners to promote UK interests and drive forward trade negotiations.
  • Collaborate with HMG Teams: Work collaboratively with teams across HMG to ensure effective delivery of trade negotiation strategies and outcomes.
  • Lead Written Advice and Briefings: Develop and present high-quality written advice and briefings to support trade negotiation efforts.

Requirements
