Talent Drive is excited to partner with a globally renowned retail brand to find a Procurement Category Buyer to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the business through your passion, determination, and strategic mindset.
As a Procurement Category Buyer, you will be responsible for executing the commercial and sourcing strategy for your assigned category or subcategories. You will collaborate with Procurement Managers to develop complex commercial strategies and provide analytical and research support.
The role involves conducting sourcing activities such as supplier appraisal and selection, negotiation, and contract management. You will also be accountable for the management of key suppliers, ensuring effective partner relationships and successful contract transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute commercial and sourcing strategies for assigned categories or subcategories.
- Collaborate with Procurement Managers to develop complex commercial strategies.
- Conduct sourcing activities such as supplier appraisal and selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Manage key suppliers and ensure effective partner relationships.
- Deliver commercial projects and adhere to procurement and supplier management policies.
Requirements:
- Experience in procurement principles and techniques.
- Deep knowledge of your specific category or subcategories.
- Strong communication skills and commercial acumen.
- Ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience of negotiating with third parties and managing supplier relationships.
