We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team at Stuart Partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy goods vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on HGVs to ensure optimal performance.\
  • Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.\
  • Interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues.\
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance.\
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless vehicle workflow.\
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and time spent on tasks.\
  • Assist in training junior staff members as needed.\

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role is preferred.\
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair.\
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous.\
  • Ability to solder and work with electrical systems is desirable.\
  • A valid driving licence is essential for this position.\
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.\
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and move around a workshop environment.\
