We are seeking a skilled Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. As an M&E Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and integrating electrical and mechanical engineering processes and control packages within civil works.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring scope is delivered in accordance with design and specification while working with project management, construction, and procurement disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the project engineering team, providing guidance and support.
- Coordinate technical solutions to ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure mechanical, electrical, and process equipment can be correctly integrated into the civil design.
- Liaise with project managers, procurement teams, QS's, and designers to provide timely and efficient work packages for procurement.
- Undertake safety inspections and actively promote safe working practices.
- Report into the project team on aspects of mechanical and electrical delivery, including performance and key issues.
- Manage discipline project documentation requirements.
About You:
- Ability to create, work with, and manage teams of people.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of managing and working in a similar role.
- Engineering/Technical qualification in (HNC minimum or equivalent).
- Good understanding of engineering principles and legislation and standards.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Experience of both design and installation stages.
- Commercial and contractual awareness and working knowledge of NEC conditions of contract.
- CSCS or equivalent Card.
