Special Needs Care Assistant

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Child Development Support Worker to join our team and support Frankie, an 8-year-old boy with quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy. This rewarding role involves providing 2:1 care during school hours and supporting him in daily tasks, as well as participating in his therapy programs.
About the Role: As a Child Development Support Worker, you will play a vital role in facilitating Frankie's learning, socialization, and rehabilitation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 2:1 care to Frankie during school hours
- Supporting him in daily tasks and personal care
- Participating in his therapy programs
- Maintaining open communication with the care team and multidisciplinary therapists
Requirements:
- Dedication to Frankie's development and well-being
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities
- Ability to provide 2:1 care and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary: £29,900 per annum, equivalent to approximately £16.00 gross per hour (weekdays) and £18.00 gross per hour (weekends).
Working Hours: The role involves working 2 x 12-hour shifts per week, including Fridays and Saturdays.
