Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support our examination process as a General Invigilator. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our exams and maintaining the integrity of our assessment procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

As an invigilator, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and closing down exam venues, ensuring all necessary materials are in place.
  • Assisting candidates at the start and end of exams, providing clear instructions and checking identities.
  • Invigilating exams in accordance with University procedures, maintaining a secure and distraction-free environment.
  • Escorting candidates during exams, supervising them while outside the exam venue, and supporting those taken ill.
  • Working collaboratively with the examination team to ensure a seamless exam experience.

Requirements:

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. If you are a reliable and committed team player, we encourage you to apply for this role.

Working Arrangements:

Exams take place Monday to Friday, with some Saturday sessions. Work start times vary, and you will be required to work until the exam ends and all papers are collected.

Training and Support:

Mandatory training will be provided to ensure you are equipped to perform your duties effectively.

Location:

Examination venues are located on the London Road and Whiteknights campuses, both accessible by public transport.
