About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our commercial and contract management team in Bristol. As part of our £1bn investment programme, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial and contract management of complex schemes valued from £1m to over £30m.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the commercial and contract management of all schemes, ensuring all works are managed in line with the contract and contractual matters are responded to within timescales.
  • Line management responsibility and provision of mentoring, training, and coaching to support team and individual development.
  • Oversee supply chain management, including enquiry documentation, quotation assessment, and works order award.
  • Ensure Scheme Cost and value reconciliation and assist with preparation of scheme forecasts and associated risk profile.
  • Management of site-level change management, including Early Warning and Compensation Event management.
  • Act as first-line escalation for contract and/or commercial differences.

Requirements

  • HND or degree in Civil Engineering, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Member or Associate member of relevant professional body (RICS/CInstCES).
  • Experience of contract administration, ideally in a portfolio/programme setting and using NEC forms of contract.
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience within a Quantity Surveying/Commercial function with evidence of providing expert advice and support on complex commercial matters.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management experience, with an ability to engage, prioritise, and collaborate as an effective customer.
  • Line management and mentoring experience preferable.
