Experienced Social Work Practitioner

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic social worker to support our cared for children and implement their permanency plans. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a local authority setting.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support cared for children across various placement settings, including long-term fostering, reunification, family placement, and adoption. They will be responsible for assessing risks, providing mediation and negotiation services, and advocating for the best interests of the child.
Requirements
- Social work degree qualification, membership of Social Work England, and significant post-qualification experience working with children and families.
- Experience of complex Child Protection cases and Court proceedings under the Children's Act 1989.
What We Offer
This role offers a competitive salary of £42,440 - £45,718 per year, including a market supplement ranging from £929 to £1007. You will also receive good management support, opportunities for continued professional development through Torbay's Learning Academy, and access to subsidized parking.
