Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive school community that is passionate about helping every child reach their potential. As a Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs. Your role will involve creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that enables children with Autism to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven 1-1 experience supporting children with Autism or additional needs in a school setting
  • A strong understanding of phonics and its application in primary education
  • Patient, empathetic, and positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Experience using PECS and Visual timetables
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
