Key Responsibilities:

We are searching for an experienced Acoustic Consultant to join our RPS Group team in Brighton, Birmingham, or Manchester. The role will involve working within a multi-disciplinary environment with highly experienced and collaborative colleagues to develop advanced expertise in one or more specialist areas of acoustics consultancy.

The successful candidate will be a key player in the success of the business unit, responsible for managing projects within agreed budgets and delivering a product of suitable quality within agreed timescales. This will include collating data, computer modelling, noise and vibration measurement, calculations, and processing of results, interpretation of data, production of reports, drawings, figures, and tables, and producing acoustic design specifications.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have solid experience of being at Consultant/Senior Consultant level, with a collaborative and consultative approach, good at developing relationships, and confident and decisive. They will be technically sound across the main environmental acoustics areas, with a strong understanding of current methods, legislation, procedures, and standards.

The role will also require numerically proficient and IT literate skills, with experience in mapping, acoustic modelling, and ideally AutoCAD. Good financial and project management skills are a must, as are strong influencing and communication skills to enable the candidate to build, maintain, and consolidate working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external bodies.
