Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Commissioning Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and electrical systems.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum. You will be required to travel globally for 3 weeks at a time, followed by 1 week of leave. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a range of electrical and mechanical breakdowns, repair of plant, machinery, and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure machines are properly connected mechanically, electrically, hydraulically, and pneumatically.
  • Commission the machine based on the Acceptance Protocol, including starting the machine after installation.
  • Check the machine for correct connection of all parts (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software).
  • Perform various test runs for production based on the Acceptance Protocol.
  • Solve technical problems.
  • Record and log all machine parameters at the time of transfer to the customer.
  • Give instruction and training to machine operators about the operation and maintenance of the machine.
  • Lead and carry out the installation and commissioning of second-hand steel processing machines.
  • Ensure a good transfer to the customer and provide clear training for the customer's operators.
  • Draft a complete report, including safety, quality, and actions to be followed.
  • Think about work processes and make complicated proposals where necessary.
  • Improve processes, ensure quality, reporting, and safety.

Requirements

  • Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and electrical systems.
  • Previous experience working as a Commissioning Engineer.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • NVQ or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to interpret and follow electrical drawings and schedules.
  • Willingness to travel and work away.
