Job Role: Mobile Traffic Light Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Traffic Light Technician to join our team at HB People Recruitment & HR Specialists. As a Mobile Traffic Light Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and removing temporary traffic lights while working to the highest level of Health and Safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering, setting up, and collecting traffic light equipment across the area.
- Maintaining and servicing all traffic light equipment.
- Repairing and exchanging batteries (23kg each) on-site and off-site.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed to the company's standards and adhering to COSHH, Health and Safety, and quality assurance regulations.
Requirements:
- A full UK driving license is essential for operating a company van/truck.
- Previous experience in maintaining or operating temporary traffic systems is advantageous, but not essential as training is provided.
- A previous electrical background is beneficial, but full training is offered.
- Good organisational skills and adaptability are required due to the fast-paced and ever-changing nature of the job.
About the Role:
This is a physically demanding role that requires working away from home for 3 weeks out of 4, with the 4th week spent in the depot based in Swansea. The role involves travelling to various locations, and overnight stays may be required. Overtime and rotational on-call cover are also involved.
