Job Title: Probate Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to progress their legal career by joining a dynamic team within a busy company. The company is currently looking for a Probate Consultant to join their London office and undertake a range of practice tasks within their expanding Probate department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend appointments with Executors either in person or video appointment.
  • Assist Executors with their application for a Grant of Probate, together with advising on estate administration procedures.
  • Take instructions from Executors for estate administration cases that will be prepared for Solicitor application. Liaise with external Solicitors and Executor throughout administration process.

The company has a fast-paced business model, with client satisfaction at the forefront of their business ethos. Their Probate department has a high volume of deceased accounts reported each month, with a significant proportion requiring an application for a Grant of Probate. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing accounts into categories that either require Executor support or convert to full estate administration services.

Requirements:
  • Combination of Law Degree with in addition a probate related qualification eg CILEx/STEP Advanced Certificates in Will Preparation, Administration of Estates and Trusts
  • Sound knowledge of Wills, Trusts, Inheritance Tax and Probate process
  • Minimum 1- year experience of Probate practice and estate administration
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Commercial mind set
  • Outgoing, team player personality
