Cover Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students stay focused and follow pre-set lesson plans. Your primary duties include managing classroom behaviour, maintaining a calm learning environment, and offering support to students to keep them engaged in the lesson.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure students follow lesson plans.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm learning environment.
  • Offer support to students to keep them engaged in the lesson.
  • Deliver lessons across various subjects, following provided resources and guidelines.
  • Monitor student progress and report back to teaching staff on student behaviour, engagement, and any issues that may arise during the lesson.

Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage classrooms independently.
  • Flexibility, organisation, and passion for teaching.
