Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Concrete Technical Manager to join our Concrete Division at Mick George Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with various regulations and standards, including the Health and Safety at Work Act, Quality Assurance to ISO 9001/2000, EN206, and BSI Kite Mark Accreditation Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and maintain Air and cube sampling rates.
  2. Review specifications to produce Concrete Mix Designs.
  3. Close out all technical complaints and report back to Ops Director and MD.
  4. Report to the Concrete Board with a monthly technical report.
  5. Discuss with admixture suppliers to understand product performance to help engineer cost-effective performance mixes.
  6. Update Ready Minder with Mix Designs for Quotes and Batching systems.
  7. Ensure concrete plants are batching correctly by checking batch records to ensure compliance.
  8. Assist with Cemfloor orders to reduce risk of placements and performance.
  9. Be available for site visits when a technical complaint is received, ensuring they are logged and the customer is communicated with.
  10. Review CUSUM data and propose changes to batch books as necessary.
  11. Perform monthly admixture stock control checks.Benefits:
