Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience
    • Ensure guests are warmly welcomed, seated, and attended to at all times.
    • Maintain a complete understanding of our policies, procedures, and standards to deliver exceptional service.
  • Operations and Management
    • Assist the General Manager in achieving sales, cost control, and employee retention objectives.
    • Ensure the highest standards of quality, appearance, and sanitation in the restaurant.
    • Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employment performance appraisals are followed.
  • Team Management
    • Train and develop employees to achieve company objectives.
    • Ensure that all front of house equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
    • Delegate tasks and follow up accordingly to ensure effective stock control and reservation management.
  • Communication and Compliance
    • Proactively communicate with the kitchen regarding menu changes, availability, and specials.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including the H&S Act 1974 and Food Hygiene regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
    • Relevant experience within a similar environment, with a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and delegate responsibilities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
    • Knowledge of business operations, including sales, cost control, and employee retention.
