About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our CXO Advisory team as a Senior Application Modernization Strategist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with senior leaders of our customers during their transformation journey, creating buy-in into our Modernization Factory and advising on transformation strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with senior leaders of our customers to create buy-in into our Modernization Factory
  • Advise customers on their transformation strategy, including design pilots for generative AI-augmented transformations
  • Partner with our sales team to ensure success in accounts embarking on modernization programs
  • Present our position at various events, either in person or digitally
  • Oversee and drive customer project delivery teams to success, providing technical direction to resolve technical problems
  • Align with our product management organization, communicating field requirements to product management leadership
  • Demonstrate resilience and sound judgment in dealing with business challenges, guiding junior colleagues to success
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enable other parts of the MongoDB organization on modernization projects and programs
  • Have situational awareness and react appropriately in group settings
Requirements
  • 20+ years of experience in a particular vertical (e.g., Financial Services, Telecommunications) in multiple areas
  • 15+ years of software development and architecture experience
  • 10+ years of IT management experience, including leading a development organization
  • Deep experience working with various database products, ETL tools, and related database modeling and design
  • Experience in transforming legacy environments to modern microservice architectures
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to visualize and communicate complex information to all levels of an organization
  • Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems
  • Ability to discuss a broad range of data technologies
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for clients, events, and team meetups
