Job Summary:
Orion Electrotech Sales is seeking a highly motivated Expeditor/Progress Chaser to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products through our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and mitigate materials shortages by building strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating timely deliveries.
- Liaise with production teams to identify potential shortfalls against production plans and implement corrective actions.
- Support the Work-in-Progress (WIP) inventory process to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Analyze data and utilize software reporting tools to drive process improvements and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Utilize SAP to identify necessary revisions to release dates for work orders and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM).
Requirements:
- Either expediting or progress chasing experience gained within a manufacturing/engineering environment or experience working as a purchasing administrator, junior buyer, or related supply chain/logistics role with the ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional disciplines.
- SAP experience (or similar ERP/MRP systems considered).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to drive process improvements.
