Firefighter Specialist

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join Capita's Fire and Rescue Service as a Reserve Firefighter, providing Aerodrome & Rescue Firefighting capability to Defence across the UK and overseas.

You will be part of a highly skilled team that responds to and fights fires in the UK, rescues from military aircraft, and provides first response to emergencies on the Defence estate. As a Reserve Firefighter, you will also be required to support operations and exercises in potentially challenging environments.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong passion for firefighting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must also meet the required fitness standards and pass the Selection Fitness Test, Pre-Joining Fitness Test, or Pre-recruit Training Course.

The salary for this position is £27,650 per annum, increasing to £31,106 per annum once fully trained. In addition to your salary, you will receive a £7,000 remuneration package each time you deploy, plus a £1,500 Operational Training Supplement if you achieve the required annual training obligation.
