Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Smart Solutions Group. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment for our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
- Identify and Evaluate Suppliers: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure they meet our quality and cost requirements.
- Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Place Purchase Orders: Place purchase orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Inventory Management:
- Manage Inventory Levels: Manage and control inventory levels to prevent excess and shortages.
- Conduct Inventory Audits: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Collaborate with Suppliers: Collaborate with suppliers to improve delivery times, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Resolve Disputes: Resolve any disputes or issues with suppliers in a timely manner.
Cost Control:
- Monitor Procurement Costs: Monitor and analyze procurement costs to ensure budget compliance.
- Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction strategies.
- Track Key Metrics: Track and report on key procurement metrics.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and performance.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist, Inventory Coordinator, or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills, proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
