As the Senior Microbiology Operations Manager, you will lead and manage the operation, projects, and research of the Microbiology department, focusing on ensuring effective processes to meet service delivery targets aligned to accurate and informative support for clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and championing quality and health and safety
  • Financial planning and budgetary management

We are seeking an experienced professional with a degree in a relevant science and proven wide-ranging experience in microbiology projects and research. You should have experience of leading microbiology laboratory operations and/or projects, as well as wide experience of leading people, creating clarity, coaching, and inspiring performance.

A working knowledge of the microbiology techniques and instrumentation used within Microbiology Department is essential, along with knowledge of the needs of the food and related industries. Experience in implementing quality/business management systems and the requirements of the ISO 17025 standards is also desirable.
