Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Cost Manager to join our infrastructure cost management team, supporting our growth and contributing to the success of our UK infrastructure projects.

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will work on various water / utilities projects and programmes in the Peterborough area, establishing strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
  • Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  • Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
  • Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
  • Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts.
  • Lead people and commissions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience or a suitable understanding of contract management, cost management, change management, risk management, procurement, estimating, pricing, reporting, and collaborative approach.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Professional body membership or equivalent.
